A more affordable and portable Life of Riley dog bed option! But still a luxurious everyday bed for your dog without comprising the benefits of wool, design, or functionality. The main difference between The Swag Bed and our Original Dog Bed is that The Swag Bed has a single layer of wool inside - rather than a double layer and a slimmer-looking pillow design.
As you can see in the photos The Swag Bed is still thick and luxurious! Giving the bed height of roughly 10cm. The Swag Bed has a removable 100% Cotton Corduroy cover with a velcro closure. A 100% Organic terry cotton fabric is available for the large-size bed only.
Option to add a waterproof mattress protector inside the bed, this is recommended if you have a puppy or incontinent dog.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
It is important to air the bed regularly and to flip it as often as possible. Wool naturally draws moisture away from your dog's body and regulates its temperature. So it needs air to circulate around it to dry it out.
As the wool isn’t designed to get wet - We recommend that you purchase one of our waterproof mattress protectors if you are using the bed for puppy crate training or have an incontinent dog etc.
Outer Corduroy Cover:
- Cold delicate machine wash on a cool cycle (or hand wash) We recommend using our Life of Riley "Laundry Wash"
- Hang inside out to dry in the shade (not direct sunlight) - Do not dry in the dryer.
- Because our covers are made from 100% cotton please don't leave them out in the sun for extended periods of time. In the long run, all fabric colours eventually fade in sunlight but cotton tends to fade easier than polyester.
White Insert Mattress /Cushion:
- The inner mattress can be spot cleaned only. DO NOT remove the wool from the white inner lining and DO NOT machine wash the inner.
- The zip is only there for when they are manufactured, it is not designed to have the wool removed.
- The inner can also be sprayed with nature’s miracle/odorex if needed to remove stains or odours.
- As the bed is natural It is important to air the inner mattress regularly in the sunshine whenever you wash the cover. Make sure to dry outside properly before putting the cover back on.
- IMPORTANT: If the wool is removed from the inner liner, you will find it extremely difficult to put it back in to lay flat again. There is also a high chance you will break the zip. We can sell replacement inner liners if this does happen but please be aware this will be at your own expense.
If cared for properly… your Life of Riley dog bed will last for many many years!

The Life of Riley team were so helpful when recommending the best bed for my puppy & we are over the moon with the result! The Swag Bed is a great, snuggly fit for her crate & the snuggle sausage tops it off - she loves to bury her face in it. I won't ever buy another brand of bed again, this is it for us!
New ZealandThe cover is really lovely, and the large is an awesome big size for our Vizsla's long legs. There isn't much filling in the bed, our dog gets up a lot and scrapes at it with his paws tring to double it over or fluff it up which hes never done with a foam filled bed. From the photos it looked really full and comfy, but it is pretty fla, we'll need to buy more filling or something to add.

Easy ordering and efficient shipping. Bed looks great, however when we opened the bed up to have a look we noticed the filling looked a lot like wool insulation used in construction. This material can have significant amounts of polyester to maintain the shape of the insulation. The swag bed is advertised as 100% wool and this was a key selling point to me. Would be great to have more information on the inner material and supplier confirmation if this is 100% wool.

Great quality bed using top quality natural products, would highly recommend grabbing a snuggle sausage to go with the bed too. Perfect to wrap around our puppy in the colder nights and she loves to use it as a pillow too

Our Golden Retriever really loves his bed and spends a lot of time on it. (If we try to move it, he stands on it so we can't.) The removable cover is easy to clean. The wool keeps him lovely and warm in the winter. Fingers crossed he won't tear this one to pieces.
